Jenkins Place Subdivision currently consists of seventeen residential lots.

The street and the detention pond have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been submitted to the City conveying Esther Court and the Detention

Pond located in Jenkins Place Subdivision. A description of the property is as

follows: All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Land

Lots 16 and 5 of the 8th Land District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and

being certain roads and road right-of-ways, more particularly described as all

of Esther Court, as shown on the map or plat entitled "Final Plat of Jenkins

Place, lying in Land Lot 16 & 5, Eighth Land District, Muscogee County,

Georgia", dated August 29, 2002 prepared by Allen-Simpson, Inc., surveyors, and

recorded in Plat Book 147, Folio 36, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to which map or plat reference is hereby

made for a more particular description of the street and detention pond hereby

conveyed.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Esther Court and the Detention Pond

located in Jenkins Place Subdivision.

















A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO ESTHER COURT AND THE

DETENTION POND LOCATED IN JENKINS PLACE SUBDIVISION ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS,

GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia, has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Esther Court and the Detention Pond located in Jenkins Place

Subdivision, a full description of said property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said street and detention pond have been improved and meet the

required specifications for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

street and detention pond for acceptance by the City and recommends acceptance

of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the __10th__ of _September, 2002_, conveying to

Columbus, Georgia, all of Esther Court and the Detention Pond located in

Jenkins Place Subdivision, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of

Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records in

the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A

copy of said deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this

Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

17th day of September, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative

vote of

members of said Council.
