Background
-
Section 18-A-11 defines a rural subdivision as "A subdivision of at least ten
lots that are a minimum of one acre in area and that have an average lot
frontage of 200 lineal feet per lot." Developer Mr. Richard Waddell has
requested a variance to construct a rural street (no curb and gutter) in his
proposed subdivision, Blackburn Ridge, Section 5. This request is based on the
existing rural streets in the surrounding neighborhoods and was promised during
the rezoning process, but not made part of the Rezoning Ordinance. This will
also improve water quality.
