Approve the attached ordinance enacting a street name change for Cartledge Road \n \n located off Fortson Road to Highland Pines Drive.

Background

There are currently two public streets in different sections of the City with

the name of Cartledge Road. This creates a safety issue for Public Safety.

There is also a problem with numerical sequencing of the addresses along this

road.

Analysis

Representatives from the Department of Engineering and Public Safety met with

residents of the area on April 15 and May 22. The neighborhood has selected

the name of Highland Pines Drive.

Financial Considerations

New street name signs will have to be erected with funding from the Traffic

Engineering Operations budget.
