Background
Section Eight, Eagle Pointe Subdivision currently consists of 21 residential

lots and a 1.0 acre detention basin. The streets and the detention basin have

been improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been submitted conveying to the City, Arrow Point Lane, Flintlock

Drive, Crossbow Drive and the 1.0 acre detention basin located in Section

Eight, Eagle Pointe Subdivision. Description of property is as follows: "All

those tracts and parcels of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia, and comprising of those portions of Section Eight, Eagle

Pointe, from the existing right-of-way of Flintlock Drive, a portion of

Crossbow Drive and a part of Arrow Point Lane to the temporary turn-around in

that certain subdivision known as Section Eight, Eagle Pointe, and all that

tract or parcel of land containing 1.0 acre and being known and designated as

the Detention Basin, as shown upon a map or plat of said subdivision entitled

"Section Eight, Eagle Pointe, Lying in Land Lot 41, 9th District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia," prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason, & Vinson, Inc.,

dated January 9, 2002, said plat recorded in Plat Book 145, Folio 47 & 48, in

the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia."
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty period expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written Resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting the deed to Arrow Point Lane, Flintlock Drive,

Crossbow Drive and the 1.0 detention basin located in Section Eight, Eagle

Pointe Subdivision.















A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO ARROW POINT LANE,

FLINTLOCK DRIVE, CROSSBOW DRIVE AND THE 1.0 DETENTION BASIN LOCATED IN SECTION

EIGHT, EAGLE POINTE SUBDIVISION ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Arrow Point Lane, Flintlock Drive, Crossbow Drive and the 1.0

detention basin located in Section Eight, Eagle Pointe Subdivision, a full

description of said property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets and detention basin have been improved and meet the

required specifications for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

streets and detention basin and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

THAT certain deed dated the 23rd day of January, 2002, conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, all of Arrow Point Lane, Flintlock Drive, Crossbow Drive and the 1.0

detention basin located in Section Eight, Eagle Pointe Subdivision, be and the

same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have

said deed recorded in the deed records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto attached and

by this reference made a part of this Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

5thday of February, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote

of

members of said Council.
