Background

Section Two, Summerbrook Subdivision, currently consists of two residential

lots. The street has been improved and meets the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City Fieldsream Way, located in

Section Two, Summerbrook Subdivision. Description of the property is as

follows: "All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and comprising of the Cul-de-sac of

Fieldstream Way, in that certain subdivision known as Section Two, Summerbrook

Subdivision, as said Cul-de-sac is shown upon a map or plat of said subdivision

recorded in Plat Book 146, folio 18 in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to which map or plat reference is hereby

made for a more particular description of the street hereby conveyed."

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO FIELDSTREAM WAY LOCATED IN

SECTION TWO, SUMMERBROOK SUBDIVISION, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, a deed has been submitted conveying to Columbus, Georgia, Fieldstream

Way located in Section Two, Summerbrook Subdivision, a full description of said

property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

street and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated _6th_ day of _May, 2002,_ conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, all of Fieldstream Way located in Section Two, Summerbrook

Subdivision, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is

hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records in the Office

of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said

deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

21st day of May, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of

members of said Council.
