Recommendation

Approval is requested to execute Quit Claim Deeds to Dr Edward Matthews for the \n \n Utility and Drainage Easements located at the rear of the property of Lot 9, \n \n Block "K" Section Nine, Sears Woods and also at the rear of the property Lot \n \n 38, Block "K" Section Ten, 4669 Sears Woods.

Background

Dr. Edward Matthews is requesting that the City execute Quit Claim Deeds to

him for all rights, title and interest the City may have in the Utility and

Drainage Easements lying across the rear of the property of Lot 9, Block "K"

Section Nine, Sears Woods and also at the rear of the property Lot 38, Block

"K" Section Ten, Sears Woods.

Analysis

The Utility and Drainage Easements are located along the rear property line of

Lot 9, Block "K" Section Nine, Sears Woods and also along the rear property

line of Lot 38, Block "K" Section Ten, Sears Woods. All public Utilities have

sent written confirmation relinquishing their rights to said easements. The

Engineering Department has examined the property and has no objection to

abandoning the easements.

Financial Considerations

There will be no cost to the City.
