Background

Section "K", Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community, currently consists of

thirteen residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City Adelaide Drive and Bent Pine

Court located in Section "K", Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community.

Description of the property is as follows: "All those tracts and parcels of

land situate, lying and being in the State of Georgia, County of Muscogee, and

City of Columbus, and being known and designated as all of Bent Pine Court and

Adelaide Drive, as shown on that certain map or plat entitled "Section "K",

Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community, lying within Land Lot 20, 8th Land

District and Land Lot 296, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia"

dated May 27, 2002 made by Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc., and recorded in

Plat Book 146, Folio 49 of the records in the Office of the Clerk of the

Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, to which plat reference is hereby

made for a more particular description of the streets hereby conveyed."

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Adelaide Drive and Bent Pine Court

located in Section "K", Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community.

















A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO ADELAIDE DRIVE AND BENT

PINE COURT LOCATED IN SECTION "K", PHASE II, MAPLE RIDGE GOLF COMMUNITY ON

BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, a deed has been submitted conveying to Columbus, Georgia, Adelaide

Drive and Bent Pine Court located in Section "K", Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf

Community, a full description of said property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

streets and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the __7th__ day of _June, 2002__ conveying to

Columbus, Georgia, all of Adelaide Drive and Bent Pine Court located in Section

"K", Phase II, Maple Ridge Golf Community, be and the same is hereby accepted.

The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the

deed records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto attached and by this reference

made a part of this Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

18th day of June, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of

members of said Council.
