Background
Section Four and Section Five, Big Creek Subdivision, has 34 residential

lots. The street has been improved and meets the required specifications for

acceptance by the city.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Creekland Drive and Detention

Pond located in Section Four and Five, Big Creek Subdivision. A description of

the property is as follows: All those lots, tracts and parcels of land lying

and being in Land Lot 61 of the 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County,

Georgia, and shown as extension of Creekland Drive and "Detention Pond 3.9

Acres", as said road and right-of-way and detention pond are shown on the map

or plat entitled "Sections Four and Five Big Creek", Lying in Land Lot 61, 8th

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc.,

Inc., dated June 16, 2003, said recorded in Plat Book 149, page 37, in the

Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to an extension of Creekland Drive and

Detention Pond located in Sections Four and Five, Big Creek Subdivision.
