This program is designed to offer financial assistance in neighborhoods across
the country to non-profit organizations. The Radio Shack Neighborhood Answers
Grant program is designed to offer answers that bring community impact through
programs or projects conducted by local non-profit organizations. Our program
currently focuses on two areas: prevention of family violence/abuse and/or
child abduction.

Analysis

The Neighborhood Answers Grant from Radio Shack is funding this grant at no
cost to the Department of Parks and Recreation or the City of Columbus. It is
designed to provide a component to the Amber Alert System and discourage child
abduction throughout communities.

Financial Considerations

The grant amount is $500.00. The City is not required to put up any matching
funds to participate in this grant and funding will be handled by
reimbursement.
