Background
Phase Five, Beaver Pond Subdivision, currently consists of fourteen residential

lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been submitted conveying to the City Lagoon Court, Lily Pad Drive

and a portion of Buckhorn Drive located in Phase Five, Beaver Pond

Subdivision. Description of the property is as follows: "All those tracts and

parcels of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,

and comprising of a portion of Lagoon Court, a portion of Lily Pad Drive and

that portion of Buckhorn Drive from the existing right of way situated, being

and lying in Phase Five, Beaver Pond, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, as

said portions of said streets are shown upon a map or plat of said Phase Five,

Beaver Pond recorded in Plat Book 146, Page 10 in the Office of the Clerk of

the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to which map or plat

reference is hereby made for a more particular description of the streets

hereby conveyed."
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting the deed to Lagoon Court, Lily Pad Drive and a

portion of Buckhorn Drive located in Phase Five, Beaver Pond Subdivision.



















A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO LAGOON COURT, LILY PAD

DRIVE AND A PORTION OF BUCKHORN DRIVE LOCATED IN PHASE FIVE, BEAVER POND

SUBDIVISION.

WHEREAS, a deed has been conveyed to Columbus, Georgia, Lagoon Court, Lily Pad

Drive and a portion of Buckhorn Drive located in Phase Five, Beaver Pond

Subdivision, a full description of said property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

streets and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the __6th__ day of __May, 2002_ conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, all of Lagoon Court, Lily Pad Drive and a portion of Buckhorn Drive

located in Phase Five, Beaver Pond Subdivision, be and the same is hereby

accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded

in the deed records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of

Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto attached and by this

reference made a part of this Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

18th day of June, 2002 , and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of

members of said Council.
