-
Section Seven, Chatham Woods Subdivision, currently consists of eighteen
residential lots. The streets and the detention basin have been improved and
meet the required specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis
-
A deed has been submitted to the City conveying Chatham Woods Drive, Vernonburg
Drive and the Detention Basin located in Section Seven, Chatham Woods
Subdivision. A description of the property is as follows: All those tracts of
land situate, lying and being in Land Lots 8 and 25, 9th District, Muscogee
County, Georgia, more particularly described as follows: All of Chatham Woods
Drive, Vernonburg Drive and the Detention Basin; the basin containing 1.192
acres; all of which are located in Section Seven, Chatham Woods Subdivision.
The above described roads and Detention Basin are shown on the map or plat
entitled "Section Seven, Chatham Woods, lying in Land Lots 8 & 25, 9th
District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason &
Vinson, Inc., dated July 10, 2002, and recorded in Plat Book 146, Folios 114 &
115 in the public records of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to which map or plat
reference is hereby made for a more particular description of the streets and
detention basin hereby conveyed.

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Chatham Woods Drive, Vernonburg
Drive and the Detention Basin located in Section Seven, Chatham Woods
Subdivision.
A RESOLUTION
NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO CHATHAM WOODS DRIVE,
VERNONBURG DRIVE AND THE DETENTION BASIN LOCATED IN SECTION SEVEN, CHATHAM
WOODS SUBDIVISION ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,
Georgia, Chatham Woods Drive, Vernonburg Drive and the Detention Basin located
in Section Seven, Chatham Woods Subdivision, a full description of said
property being shown in said deed; and.
WHEREAS, said streets and detention basin have been improved and meet the
required specifications for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said
streets and detention basin for acceptance by the City and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated the _30th_ day of _July, 2002,_ conveying to Columbus,
Georgia, all of Chatham Woods Drive, Vernonburg Drive and the Detention Basin
located in Section Seven, Chatham Woods, be and the same is hereby accepted.
The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed in the deed records
in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
A copy of said deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of
this Resolution.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held
the
20th day of August, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
of
members of said Council.
