Background

Hunter Hill Subdivision currently has twenty-six residential lots. The street

has been improved and meets the required specifications for acceptance by the

City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted to the City conveying Hunter Hill Court located in

Hunter Hill Subdivision. A description of the property is as follows: "All

those lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land Lot 267 of the

19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as all of Hunter

Hill Court as said road and rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled

"Hunter Hill Subdivision, lying in Land Lot 43, 9th District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Hobbs, Smith & Associates, Inc. dated

December 17, 2002, said recorded in Plat Book 148, Page 11, in the Office of

the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, and to which map or plat

reference is hereby made for a more particular description of the street hereby

conveyed."

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO HUNTER HILL COURT LOCATED

IN HUNTER HILL SUBDIVISION ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Hunter Hill Court located in Hunter Hill Subdivision; a full

description of said property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said street has been completed and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

street for acceptance by the City and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated __17th__ day of __January,_2003_ conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Hunter Hill Court located in Hunter Hill Subdivision be and the same

is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said

deed recorded in the deed records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto attached and

by this reference made a part of this Resolution.
