Background

Perkinson Place, currently consists of five residential lots. The street has

been improved and meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City Perkinson Court and Hobbs Road,

located in Perkinson Place. Description of said property is as follows: "All

those tracts or parcels of land situate, lying and being in Land Lot 41, 8th

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and being certain roads and road

right-of-ways, more particularly described as follows: All of Perkinson Court

and Hobbs Road, lying and being in Perkinson Place, replat of Parcel "B" and

Part of Parcel "A", lying in Land Lot 41, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia" dated April 25, 2002, made by Thomas L. French and recorded in

Plat Book 146, Page 38, in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of

Muscogee County, Georgia."

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Perkinson Court and Hobbs Road

located in Perkinson Place.















A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO PERKINSON COURT AND HOBBS

ROAD LOCATED IN PERKINSON PLACE ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, a deed has been submitted conveying to Columbus, Georgia, Perkinson

Court and Hobbs Road located in Perkinson Place, a full descripton of said

property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

streets and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the _28th_ day of _May, 2002_, conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, all of Perkinson Court and Hobbs Road located in Perkinson Place, be

and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to

have said deed recorded in the deed records in the Office of the Clerk of the

Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto

attached and by this reference made a part of this Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

28th day of May, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of

members of said Council.
