Background

The City recognizes that the continued operation of Fort Benning is important

to the regional economy and that its future operational capacity should be

protected. Fort Benning is interested in preparing a The JLUS coordinate

future planning efforts of its operations and surrounding local governments.

Analysis

The City's participation in the development of a JLUS will benefit the health,

safety, and general welfare of the residents of the Columbus region.

Financial Considerations

There will be no financial obligation from the City for funding the cost of the

study.
