Recommendation

Approve the acquisition of Tax Map Parcel 007-012-016 a/k/a 7 25th Street from \n \n Neighbor Works Columbus, which is adjacent to properties owned by the City and \n \n will allow assemblage of property for future development in Columbus, Muscogee \n \n County, Georgia (see attached map).

Background

The parcel is adjacent to City owned Property (see attached map), The parcel

will allow for assemblage of properties for future development.

Analysis

The property consists of one parcel of property lying adjacent to the

properties owned by the City. Subject property is zoned RMF2 .

Financial Considerations

The value of the property is determined to be $3,000.00. The Seller agreed to

accept payment in the amount of $3,000.00. The property will be transferred by

Warranty Deed with all encumbrances and liens being paid by the Seller.

Legal Considerations

Council must approve entering into a contract in accordance with Columbus

Charter Section 7-500.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the attached Resolution approving the purchase of the above identified

property.
