Background
That portion of Meadow Valley Court and Cross Creek Lane located in Highlands

Phase Eight, Garrett Creek has thirteen residential lots. The streets have

been improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying the portion of Meadow Valley

Court and Cross Creek Lane located in Highlands Phase Eight, Garrett Creek. A

description of the property is as follows. "All those lots, tracts and parcels

of land lying and being in land Lot 160 of the 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia, and shown as that extension of Meadow Valley Court, Cross

Creek Lane, lying in Highlands Phase Eight, Garrett Creek prepared by Hobbs

Smith & Associates, Inc., dated January 3, 2005, said plat recorded in Plat

Book 153, page 64 in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia."
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to the portion of Meadow Valley Court

and Cross Creek Lane located in Highlands Phase Eight, Garrett Creek.
