Recommendation
Approve the attached Resolution declaring property as surplus and authorize the \n \n City Manager to dispose of said property identified as Tax Map Parcel \n \n 041-028-022 a/k/a 2418 North Lumpkin Road, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, \n \n (see attached map).

Background
This Parcel of property has been in the possession of the City since 1962 and

most recently occupied as a fire station.
Analysis
The property consists of 14,512 Sq. Ft. of land on which a fire house is

located. It has been determined through coordination with other departments,

that the City will not need the subject property in the foreseeable future. The

property is Zoned C-2 (See attached maps).
Financial Considerations
The subject property will be advertised at the appraisal value of $64,000.00. A

Quit Claim Deed will transfer the property.

Legal Considerations
Council must approve the sale of real estate and newspaper notices shall be

published in accordance with Columbus Charter Section 7-501.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the attached Resolution declaring the property surplus and authorizing

the sale of the above-identified property.
