Background
The STWP is the five year implementation plan that sets goals in various
categories. The categories include Housing, Community Facilities
(transportation, recreation, etc.), Land Use, and Natural & Historic Resources.
This STWP has to be updated every 5 years. City Staff along with
representatives for the Lower Chattahoochee Regional Development Commission
(LCRDC) have completed the update for STWP.
Analysis
The Lower Chattahoochee Regional Development Commission (LCRDC) is designated
by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to input this plan. DCA
also requires a public hearing and a resolution of support from Council before
it is submitted. The public hearing was held on June 19, 2003, at 6:30 pm in
Council Chambers.
Financial Considerations
The projects listed will be considered when funding is made available by the
appropriate agency.Refer to the attached report.

Legal Considerations
The Short Term Work Program is a part of the State requirement of having in
place an approved Comprehensive Plan. The Short Term Work Program has to be
updated every 5 years as a part of the Comprehensive Plan.
