Background

The owner has requested that the City accept the donation of two, 20? +/-

strips of right of way on Warm Springs Road adjacent to Springbrook Drive.

Analysis

The properties are zoned R-1, and is located between Springbrook Drive and on

Warm Springs Road (See attached maps). Block ?A? Springbrook Crossing is 0.069

acres +/- and Block ?B? Springbrook Crossing is 0.048 acres +/-.

Financial Considerations

The properties will be transferred to the City without any cost associated

therewith.

Legal Considerations

Council must approve the acquisition of real estate.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the attached Resolution accepting the donation of the above identified

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF TWO 20? FOOT STRIPS OF RIGHT-OF-WAY

ON WARM SPRINGS ROAD AT SPRINGBROOK DRIVE TO THE CITY OF COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE

COUNTY, GEORGIA (SEE ATTACHED MAPS).



WHEREAS, the above described property is to be accepted for future road

widening purposes; and,



WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of Columbus,

Georgia to accept the donation of the property.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:



That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept the donation of two 20?

+/- strips of right-of-way Block "A" 0.069 acres +/- and Block "B" 0.048 acres

+/-, located on Warm Springs Road, adjacent to Springbrook Drive.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the

_________day of _____________, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative

vote of _____________members of said Council.
