Background

One of the parcels is adjacent to City owned Property (see attached map), the

remaining three (3) parcels will allow for assemblage of properties for future

development. There are four parcels of property laying adjacent to the river

on Riverside Avenue lying between 27th Street and 25th Street west of 1st

Avenue, Columbus, Georgia.

Analysis

The property consists of four parcels of property lying adjacent to the

Riverwalk. Subject property is zoned R-4.

Financial Considerations

The value of the property is $60,000.00. The Seller agreed to accept payment

in the amount of $60,000.00. The property will be transferred by Warranty Deed

with all encumbrances and liens being paid by the Seller.

Legal Considerations

Council must approve entering into a contract in accordance with Columbus

Charter Section 7-500.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the attached Resolution approving the purchase of the above identified

property.
