Background

A detention basin was constructed for Quail Creek Subdivision. The Owner has

maintained the basin since its construction. The detention basin has been

improved and meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City of Columbus the 0.642 Acre

Detention Basin located in Section Three Quail Creek. Description of the

property is as follows: All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and

being in Land Lot 146, Coweta Reserve, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and

being shown as "Detention Basin 0.642 Ac.", on that certain plat entitled

"Section Three Quail Creek" dated February 22, 2005 prepared by Moon, Meeks,

Mason & Vinson, Inc., Civil Engineers and recorded in Plat Book 154, Folio 34

in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to the 0.642 Acre Detention Basin

located in Section Three Quail Creek.
