Approval is requested to transfer two parcels of property in South Lawyers Lane \n \n 2925 and 2927 Baldwin Street a/k/a 50-31-11 and 50-31-12, consisting of 6,750 \n \n sq. ft. +/- and accepting in exchange two parcels of property located in the \n \n 2nd Avenue Redevelopment Area, 2602 and 2604 Riverside Avenue a/k/a 07-12-05 \n \n and 07-12-06, consisting of 6,432 sq. ft.

Background
Habitat for Humanity owns two parcels of property on Riverside Drive that is

adjacent to property the City has purchased. The City currently owns two

parcels of property on Baldwin Street. Habitat for Humanity is assembling

property in the South Lawyers Lane area for a Housing Blitz.
Analysis
The transfer of City owned property in exchange for parcels of property owned

by Habitat for Humanity will allow for a home to be built on Baldwin Street and

the exchange will assist the City in continuing to assemble property in the

Second Avenue Redevelopment Area.
Financial Considerations
The properties have been determined to be equal in size and value.

Legal Considerations
Council must approve the transfer and acceptance of property.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the attached Resolution approving the transfer of two parcels of

property on Baldwin Street and accepting in exchange two parcels of property on

Riverside Avenue.
