Background

This program is designed to offer financial assistance to communities that are

committed to the protection of natural resources, parks and waterways and

community improvement, the program is designed to offer funding for various

projects in and around communities.

Analysis

The Kodak Environmental Grant is offering funding at no cost to the Department

of Parks and Recreation or the City of Columbus to enhance, protect or

reconstruct any of the park areas.

Financial Considerations

The grant amount is up to $100,000.00. The City is not required to put up any

matching funds to participate in this grant and funding will be handled by

reimbursement as is most current under Parks and Recreation.

Legal Considerations

Council is the approving authority for all grant applications.

Recommendations/ Actions

: Authorize a resolution to accept the application for grant funds in the

amount of $100,000.00 from the Kodak Corporation for the Department of Parks

and Recreation to enhance and refurbish Flat Rock Park.
