Background

North Park Center currently consists of nine commercial lots. The street has

been improved and meets the required specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City Capstone Court, located in

North Park Center. Description of the property is as follows: "All those lots,

tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land Lot 42 of the 8th District,

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as all of Capstone Court as said

road and right-of-way is shown on the map or plat entitled "Replat of Part of

Land Lot 42, 8th Land District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", prepared

by Allen-Simpson, Inc., dated March 15, 2002, said plat recorded in Plat Book

146, page 36, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia and to which map or plat reference is hereby made for a more

particular description of the street hereby conveyed."

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

A RESOLUTION

NO.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO CAPSTONE COURT LOCATED IN

NORTH PARK CENTER, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, a deed has been submitted conveying to Columbus, Georgia, Capstone

Court, located in North Park Center, a full description of said property being

shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

street and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the __21st__ day of May, 2002, conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, all of Capstone Court located in North Park Center, be and the same is

hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed

recorded in the deed records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court

of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto attached and by

this reference made a part of this Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

28th day of May, 2002 , and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of

members of said Council.
