Approval of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to sign all documents \n \n necessary to transfer property purchased in the name of the Columbus Economic \n \n Development Corporation (CEDC) and known as "Chattahoochee Land" a/k/a Tax Map \n \n #002-0002 to the Development Authority.

Background
The City of Columbus made a land swap with Fort Benning, Georgia. and has 692

+/- acres left from the swap. The land was placed in the name of the Columbus

Economic Development Corporation (CEDC). The CEDC will transfer the land

known as "Chattahoochee Land" to the Development Authority to promote economic

development.
Analysis
The Property consists of 692 +/- acre located in Chattahoochee County a/k/a Tax

Map #002-0002. Subject property is zoned A-1.
Financial Considerations
The CEDC will transfer the property to the Development Authority, and the

Development Authority will sell the property for cash (to be returned to the

City) and in-kind services (for training for City personnel).

Legal Considerations
Council must approve the transfer of property.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager to sign all

documents necessary to transfer property.
