Background
-
The City and CWW initiated a study in 1999 to identify necessary improvements
for the Storm Water System. The results of this study provided a list of
improvement projects that will be funded by 1999 SPLOST Funding. The City of
Columbus and CWW have established a partnership for the
management/implementation of these improvements. The partnership was
formalized in May of 01 through a MOU. This is a continuation of the
implementation of the stormwater and flood abatement improvements. The
estimated cost for the improvements is $15,105,700. The resolution will
authorize payment over a 3 to 4 year period for completed segments of the
improvement projects.
