Approve resolution to support a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the \n \n City and Columbus Water Works (CWW) for the implementation of improvements \n \n resulting from the 1999 SPLOST Funding.

Background
The City and CWW initiated a study in 1999 to identify necessary improvements

for the Storm Water System. The results of this study provided a list of

improvement projects that will be funded by 1999 SPLOST Funding. The City of

Columbus and CWW have established a partnership for the

management/implementation of these improvements. The partnership was

formalized in May of 01 through a MOU. This is a continuation of the

implementation of the stormwater and flood abatement improvements. The

estimated cost for the improvements is $15,105,700. The resolution will

authorize payment over a 3 to 4 year period for completed segments of the

improvement projects.
