Recommendation
Approve the attached resolution authorizing variances to the City Code Section \n \n 22-32 for the minimum driveway requirements: (1) - minimum fifteen foot \n \n driveway radii to allow DOT Standard 6050 driveway using seven foot flares and \n \n (2) the reguirement of minimum twenty feet between driveway radii and \n \n intersection radii to allow a ten foot tangent section to the Talbotton Road \n \n radius for the property address of 1951 - 8th Avenue.

Background
The Traffic Engineering Division received site plans that indicated a need to

request for variances to the City Code requirements for this driveway

accessing 8th Street just south of Talbotton Road.
Analysis
The Traffic Engineering Division reviewed the site plans finding that an

existing narrow driveway is proposed to be widened to twenty feet to meet

commercial driveway width.
Financial Considerations
There will not be a financial cost to the City.

Legal Considerations
A variance to the City Code requirements for driveways requires Council

approval.

Approve the recommended varianced authoring the construction of a commercial

driveway accessing 1951 - 8th Avenue.
