Section Two, Garrett Pines Subdivision, currently has thirty-eight residential
lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for
acceptance by the City.

Analysis
-
A deed has been submitted to the City conveying Garrett Pines Drive, Seedling
Drive and that portion of Southlake Drive which are located in Section Two,
Garrett Pines Subdivision. A description of said property is as follows: "All
those lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land Lot 130 of the
9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as all of Garrett
Pines Drive, Seedling Drive and that portion of Southlake Drive, as said road
and right-of-way is shown on the map or plat entitled "Section Two, Garrett
Pines Subdivision, lying in Land Lot 130, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee
County, Georgia: prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc. dated December 2, 2002,
said recorded in Plat Book 148, Page 19, in the Office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia and to which map or plat reference
is hereby made for a more particular description of the streets hereby
conveyed."

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Garrett Pines Drive, Seedling Drive
and that portion of Southlake Drive whch are located in Section Two, Garrett
Pines Subdivision.
A RESOLUTION
NO.________
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO GARRETT PINES DRIVE,
SEEDLING DRIVE AND THAT PORTION OF SOUTHLAKE DRIVE WHICH ARE LOCATED IN SECTION
TWO, GARRETT PINES SUBDIVISION TO COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia, has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,
Georgia, Garrett Pines Drive, Seedling Drive and that portion of Southlake
Drive which are located in Section Two, Garrett Pines Subdivision; a full
description of said property being shown in said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications
for acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said
streets for acceptance by the City and recommends acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated the __4th__ day of _February, 2003_, conveying to
Columbus, Georgia, Garrett Pines Drive, Seedling Drive and that portion of
Southlake Drive which are located in Section Two, Garrett Pines Subdivision be
and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to
have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto
attached and by this reference made a part of this Resolution.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held
the
4th day of February, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
of
members of said Council.
