Background
Lakes Phase Three, Garrett Creek Subdivision, has 34 residential lots. The

street has been improved and meets the required specifications for acceptance

by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Garrett Lake Drive located in

Lakes Phase Three, Garrett Creek Subdivision. A description of the property is

as follows: All those lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land

Lot 129 of the 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as

an extension of Garrett Lake Drive, as said road and right-of-way is shown on

the map or plat entitled "Garrett Creek Subdivision, Lakes Phase Three, Land

Lot 129, 9th Land District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by

Thomas L. French, Jr. dated August 22, 2002, said deed recorded in Plat Book

148, Page 31, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia, to which map or plat reference is hereby made for a more

particular description of the street hereby conveyed.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to an extension of Garrett Lake Drive

located in Lakes Phase Three, Garrett Creek Subdivision.
