Background

The extension of Garrett Lake Drive located in Lakes Phase Four, Garrett Creek,

has thirty residential lots. The street has been improved and meets required

specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying the Extension of Garrett Lake

Drive located in Lakes Phase Four, Garrett Creek. A description of the

property is as follows: All those lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and

being in Land Lot 160 of the 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,

and shown as all of the Extension of Garrett Lake Drive as said roads and

public rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled "Lakes Phase Four,

Garrett Creek Subdivision, Part of Land Lot 160, 9th District", prepared by

Hobbs Smith & Associates, Inc., dated July 26, 2004, said plat recorded in Plat

Book 152, page 36, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
