Background

Magnolia Way, located in Phase I Magnolia Place has twenty (20) residential

lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Magnolia Way, located in Phase I

Magnolia Place. A description of the property is as follows: All that tract

and parcel of land situate, lying and being in Land Lots 273 & 291, 19th Land

District, Muscogee County, Georgia, and being known and designated as All of

Magnolia Way located in Magnolia Place - Phase One, as said parcel is shown on

a map or plat prepared by Jordan Jones & Goulding, filed and recorded August 8,

2007, at Plat Book 160, page 96-97, in the Office of the Clerk of Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-way must be accepted by Council.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Magnolia Way, located in Phase I

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO MAGNOLIA WAY, LOCATED IN

PHASE I MAGNOLIA PLACE ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Magnolia Way,

located in Phase I Magnolia Place, a full description of property on said deed;

and,

WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated August 21, 2007, conveying to Columbus, Georgia

Magnolia Way, located in Phase I Magnolia Place be and the same is hereby

accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded

in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a

part of this resolution.
