Background
-
There is historical precedent of rent being waived in lieu of relocation that
was processed as an administrative action. This action will allow three
businesses and a church to search for a new location, utilize the waived rent
to pay security deposits and first and last months rent, etc. It is
anticipated this action will assist these small businesses to remain in
business.

Analysis
-
The terms of the agreement is that the tenants will pay all maintenance
required on the existing building, they will keep the grounds clean, they will
provide an insurance policy covering liability, and they will vacate the
building for the lease period. This action is in the best interest of the
City.
