Approval is requested to submit a grant application and if approved, accept \n \n funds from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for the operation of the \n \n Muscogee County Juvenile Drug Court and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by \n \n the amount of the grant award. The grant period is from July 1, 2014 to June \n \n 30, 2015.

Background

The State of Georgia has funds available to fund Accountability Courts through

the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.

Analysis

The Muscogee County Juvenile Drug Court is requesting funds to fund a grant

funded position.

Financial Considerations

The City is required to provide a 10% cash match to participate in this grant

program.

Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement

The City has met the match by funding a juvenile drug court salaried employee.

Legal Considerations

The Columbus Consolidated Government is eligible to apply for funds from the

Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.

Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for the operation of the Muscogee County

Juvenile Drug Court from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 and to amend the
