Recommendation
Approve the attached ordinance that establishes a ?No parking Anytime? zone \n \n along the West curb of Phillips Street beginning at the south curb of Levy Road \n \n and running southerly a distance 795 feet south.
Approval
Approved
Background
Mr. Roger Ward owns businesses along Phillips Street requesting that a parking

restriction be implemented along the west curb because tractor trailers parked

on the street blocking access to his driveways and limits two-way traffic.
Analysis
Limiting the parking along the west side of Phillips Street will improve access

to the properties along Phillips Street. This will still provide on street

parallel parking along the west curb of Phillips Street from Shelby Street

north to a point just north of 2085 Phillips Street as noted on the attached

drawing. Mr. Roger?s confirmed on August 6, 2013 that he was agreeable to the

revision.
Financial Considerations
The cost to install the signs will come out of Traffic Engineering operating

budget.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
Should any signs be vandalized or damaged, they will be replaced using Traffic

Engineering funds.
Legal Considerations
All traffic ordinances require Council approval.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the proposed ?No Parking Anytime? ordinance for Phillips Street.
