Background
On December 7, 2010, Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a MOU
with GDOT for this TE project. Funding for this project was set at $500,000,
with a 20 percent match from the city. Work has progressed on this project and
is scheduled to start construction by this summer. This MOU was extended by
Council in February 2016 to allow for the necessary preliminary work to be
completed. This work has been completed and GDOT has given a Notice to Proceed
for construction activities.
Analysis
Authorizing this resolution will allow the City Manager to sign the necessary
construction contracts, and allow this project to begin.
Financial Considerations
Funding for this project will still remain at $500,000, with a 20 percent match
from the City.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
Upon completion of this project, the City will be responsible for all general
maintenance.
Legal Considerations
The City will be subject to all federal and state laws mandated under this
agreement.
