Approval is requested to establish a "No Parking Anytime" zone on 1st Avenue \n \n beginning at the south curb of 9th Street and running south along the east curb \n \n of 1st Avenue a distance of 160 feet.

Background
Citizens are having a difficult time exiting the City Parking lot located on

9th Street at the designated exit onto 1st Avenue. Sight distance is blocked

when looking north or south along 1st Avenue when vehicles are parked along the

east curb of 1st Avenue at this location.
Analysis
The proposed parking restriction will only effect property already owned by the

Columbus Consolidated Government. There is adequate off street parking in this

area.
Financial Considerations
The cost of the "No Parking Anytime" sign would be approximately $125.00 and

will be charged to the Traffic Engineering's Operating Budget.
