-
Background
-
Columbus applied to be a PlanFirst community in 2016. That designation ends in
2018. Columbus has had its designation renewed for 2019-2021.
-
Analysis
-
The MOA essentially offers incentives to CCG as a PlanFirst community and in
return the Planning Department has to agree to fulfill comprehensive planning
in Columbus as well as being available when needed by DCA as a PlanFirst
reviewer, Community Planning Institute (CPI) presenter, and annually submit a
Comp Plan success story to the PlanFirst website (MOA attached).
-
Financial Considerations
-
DCA offers various incentives on its programs, including free attendance at CPI
events. CCG typically only utilizes travel funds within the Planning
Department's budget.
