Approval is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed to the adjacent property \n \n owner(s) for the portion of Southern Street between Comer Avenue and 11th \n \n Avenue as surplus, (see attached map), in Columbus, Muscogee County, \n \n Georgia.

Background
The property owner(s) between Comer Avenue, 11th Avenue and 20th Street have

assemble the surrounding properties on Southern Street that will allow the

expansion of their project.
Analysis
The property is not needed by the City. The property will be transferred by

Quit Claim to the adjacent property owner(s).

Legal Considerations
Council must approve the execution of a Quit Claim Deed. Transfer will be

subject to reservation of all existing utility easements of record, known and

unknown.
Recommendations/ Actions
Declare the property as surplus and authorizing the City Manager to execute a

Quit Claim Deed to the property owner(s) for the section of Southern Street

between Comer Avenue and 11th Avenue.
