-
A detention pond was constructed for River Crest Subdivision. The owner has
maintained the pond since construction for the period of at least two years.
The detention pond has been improved and meets the required specifications for
acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City of Columbus the 1.14 Acre
Detention Pond located in River Crest Subdivision. Description of the property
is as follows: All that lot tract or parcel of land known and designated as
Lot 100D Detention Pond, 1.14 ac., on that certain map or plat entitled "Replat
of Part of Land Lots 81 & 97, 8th District & Part of Land Lots 288 & 289, 19th
District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia," dated October 25, 2007, prepared
by Bobby R. Hobbs, RLS No. 1610 of Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc., and recorded in
plat book 161 page 53, in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee
County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

The owner has maintained the pond since construction for the required period
of two years. The Department of Engineering has inspected the pond and
recommends the acceptance.

A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DEED TO THE 1.14 ACRE DETENTION
POND LOCATED IN RIVER CREST SUBDIVISION ON THE BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying 1.14 acre
Detention Pond located in River Crest Subdivision, a full description of said
property being shown in said deed.
WHEREAS, said Detention Pond has been completed and meets the required
specification; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said Detention Pond and
recommends acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated the 14th day of January, 2008, conveying to
Columbus, Georgia, all of the 1.14 Acre Detention Pond located in River Crest
Subdivision, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is
hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records in the Office
of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is
hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this Resolution.
