Background
Glenview Drive has a segment of its right-of-way unimproved between Winifred

Lane and Olivia Lane. The Muscogee County School District originally deeded

the sixty-foot right-of-way to Muscogee County in 1963 for the purpose of

building a public street. Glenview Drive is paved Public Street from Olivia

Lane east to Celeste Drive. See the attached aerial photo.
Analysis
Grayhawk Homes, Inc. requested that this unimproved segment be declared surplus

in order to allow them to extend the existing Olivia Lane lots some thirty

feet. The northern thirty feet will be quit claimed back to the Muscogee

County School District. The City?s Community Reinvestment department will

handle the property value and disposal of said property to Grayhawk Homes, Inc.

and the Muscogee County School District.
Financial Considerations
There is no financial consideration with declaring the property surplus. The

disposition of the property will be addressed in a resolution at the January

24th Council meeting.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
There is no projected financial impact associated with this action.
Legal Considerations
The purpose of this ordinance is to declare this street surplus and to

authorize its disposal that has to be approved by Council.
