The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth terms by which the Georgia
Emergency Management Agency shall provide emergency evacuation shelter
equipment and other items as listed to Columbus-Muscogee County located within
the State of Georgia to support all hazards emergency management missions.

Analysis
-
Agreement is renewed annually to insure equipment and support to Columbus from
the State of Georgia in the event of an emergency requiring mass sheltering of
persons from outside of Muscogee County.

Financial Considerations

FEMA and State of GA agrees to assist Muscogee County with equipment and other
means of support with the mission of mass sheltering of persons from outside of
Muscogee County.

Legal Considerations

Council approval is required to authorize the Mayor to sign and thereby enter
into this agreement with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency.
