Green Glen Court, Green Glen Drive, portion Sable Oaks Drive, portion of Old

Pope Lane, portion of Greenfield Drive and portion of Whisper Glen Drive

located in Section One Sable Oaks of Midland has thirty-eight residential lots.

The streets have been improved and have met the specifications for acceptance

by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Green Glen Court, Green Glen

Drive, portion Sable Oaks Drive, portion of Old Pope Lane, portion of

Greenfield Drive and portion of Whisper Glen Drive located in Section One Sable

Oaks of Midland. A description of the property is as follow: All those lots,

tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Part of Land Lot 161, 9th

District and Part of Land Lots 5, 6 & 27, 18th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia, and shown as all of Sable Oaks Drive, Green Glen Drive, Old

Pope Lane, Greenfield Drive, Whisper Glen Drive and Green Glen Court as said

roads and public rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled "Section

One, Sable Oaks of Midland, Part of Land Lot 161, 9th District and Part of Land

Lots 5, 6, & 27, 18th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", dated

January 28, 2008, prepared by Hobbs Smith & Assoc., Inc. and recorded in Plat

Book 161, page 119, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of

Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

Warranty.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Green Glen Court, Green Glen Drive,

portion Sable Oaks Drive, portion of Old Pope Lane, portion of Greenfield

Drive and portion of Whisper Glen Drive located in Section One Sable Oaks of

Midland.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO GREEN GLEN COURT, GREEN

GLEN DRIVE, PORTION OF SABLE OAKS DRIVE, PORTION OF OLD POPE LANE, PORTION OF

GREENFIELD DRIVE AND PORTION OF WHISPER GLEN DRIVE LOCATED IN SECTION ONE SABLE

OAKS OF MIDLAND, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.



WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Green Glen

Court, Green Glen Drive, portion Sable Oaks Drive, portion of Old Pope Lane,

portion of Greenfield Drive and portion of Whisper Glen Drive located in

Section One Sable Oaks of Midland, a full description of property on said deed;

and,



WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,



WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City; and,



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:



That certain deed dated March 24, 2008, conveying to Columbus, Georgia,

Green Glen Court, Green Glen Drive, portion Sable Oaks Drive, portion of Old

Pope Lane, portion of Greenfield Drive and portion of Whisper Glen Drive

located in Section One Sable Oaks of Midland, be and the same is hereby

accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded

in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a

part of this resolution.
