Background

Right-of-way for the North Lake Drive cul-de-sac was accepted on June 22, 1999
by Resolution # 313-99.

Analysis
-
During the survey for sale of adjacent property it was discovered the
cul-de-sac was not originally constructed in the center of the right-of-way for
North Lake Drive. To ensure adequate right-of-way around the cul-de-sac, a
section consisting of 616 square feet is requested to be dedicated to the City.

A RESOLUTION
NO. _____
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO 616 SQUARE FEET OF ADDITIONAL
RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE CUL-DE-SAC OF NORTH LAKE DRIVE LOCATED IN NORTH LAKE CENTRE.
WHEREAS, Columbus Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying 616 square feet
of additional right-of-way in the cul-de-sac of North Lake Drive located in
North Lake Centre, a full description of said property shown on said deed; and,
WHEREAS, Right-of-way for the North Lake Drive cul-de-sac was accepted on June
22, 1999 by resolution #313-99; and,
WHEREAS, original cul-de-sac was not construction in the center of the
right-of-way for North Lake Drive and to ensure adequate right-of-way around
the cul-de-sac, a section consisting of 616 square feet is requested to be
accepted by the City.
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said segment and recommends
acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated April 20, 2007 conveying to Columbus, Georgia
616 square feet of additional right-of-way in the cul-de-sac of North Lake
Drive located in North Lake Centre be and the same is hereby accepted. The
Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed
Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of
this resolution.
