Background

North Crossing Court located in North Crossing has five (5) Commercial lots.

The street has been improved and meets the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying North Crossing Court located in

North Crossing. A description of the property is as follows: All that tract

and parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County,

Georgia, and comprising of North Crossing Court in that certain subdivision

known as North Crossing, as said street is shown upon a map or plat of said

subdivision recorded in Plat Book 159, folio 100, in the office of the Clerk of

Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to which map or plat reference

is hereby made for a more particular description of the street hereby conveyed.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by Council.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO NORTH CROSSING COURT

LOCATED IN NORTH CROSSING ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying North Crossing

Court located in North Crossing, a full description of said property shown on

said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said street and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated April 20, 2007 conveying to Columbus, Georgia

North Crossing Court located in North Crossing be and the same is hereby

accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded

in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a

part of this resolution.
