Background
Ashley Station Boulevard, that portion of 10th Av, that portion of 11th Av,

that portion of 24th St, that portion of Beacon Av, that portion of Midland Av,

that portion of Olive St and that portion of Peabody Av located in George

Foster Peabody Apartments has thirty-four commercial lots. The streets have

been improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Ashley Station Boulevard, that

portion of 10th Av, that portion of 11th Av, that portion of 24th St, that

portion of Beacon Av, that portion of Midland Av, that portion of Olive St and

that portion of Peabody Av located in George Foster Peabody Apartments. A

description of the property is as follows: All those lots, tracts or parcels

of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,

designated as those portions of 10th Avenue, 11th Avenue, 24th Street, Ashley

Station Boulevard, Beacon Avenue, Midland Avenue, Olive Street, and Peabody

Avenue, as said streets are shown upon a map or plat entitled "Survey of

Peabody Redevelopment Partnership I., L.P., Final Plat of George Foster Peabody

Apartments, Lying in Land Lot 71, 8th District, City of Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia", prepared by Jordan Jones & Goulding, dated 11/07/06, and

recorded in Plat Book 159, pages 59-60 of the records, in the Office of the

Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, reference is hereby made

to said plat for a more particular description of said streets.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

rights-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Ashley Station Boulevard, that

portion of 10th Av, that portion of 11th Av, that portion of 24th St, that

portion of Beacon Av, that portion of Midland Av, that portion of Olive St and

that portion of Peabody Av located in George Foster Peabody Apartments.
