Approval
Approved
Background
Cathryn Drive has a segment of its right-of-way unimproved north of Camille

Drive. The property owners of 2631 and 2701 Camille Drive use this segment as

access to their property (see attached photo). Mr. Anderson Frazer of 2701

Camille Drive made a formal request by letter to purchase his half of the

unused right-of-way. He indicated in the same letter that Louie Robinson, Jr.,

property owner of 2631 Camille Drive supported his request.
Analysis
The proposed street abandonment of this segment of Cathryn Drive was not

constructed as a street. The north end of this street segment ends at the

Clubview Heights Subdivision boundary that is also the Fall Line Trace. The

property value and disposal of said property to adjoining property owners will

be handled by the City's Community Reinvestment department.
Financial Considerations
Community Reinvestment Department will determine the sales value of these

property remnants.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
The final sales value will be deposited to the Finance Department.
Legal Considerations
The purpose of this ordinance is to declare this street surplus and to

authorize its disposal which has to be approved by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve an ordinance declaring an unimproved segment of Cathryn Drive surplus

and authorize its disposal.
