Background
The US27/Custer Road Interchange Reconstruction/Modification is a

Transportation Investment Act (TIA) project that was approved by voters in July

2012. The project will provide direct access to property located at the

intersection of US 27 (Victory Drive) and I-185 for the purposes of developing

a business park.
Analysis
A supplemental agreement is needed to modify the existing budget for the above

referenced project. Line items in the original contract for ROW and

construction have been reduced by a total of $700,000, with that amount being

applied to the line item for preliminary engineering.

Financial Considerations
The total amount of $20 million in TIA funds for this project has not

changed. This action will allow us to maintain our contractural obligations

with the consultants on this project.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
There will not be any annual fiscal impact to the city for this action.
Legal Considerations
The City Attorney has approved this action.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a

supplemental agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to adjust

the budget for this project to provide the necessary funding for engineering

consulting services.
