Background
That portion of Glen Valley Drive and that portion of Garrett Lake Drive

located in Orchard Phase Nine, Garrett Creek has twenty-six residential lots.

The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Glen Valley

Drive and that portion of Garrett Lake Drive located in Orchard Phase Nine,

Garrett Creek. A description of the property is as follows: All those lots,

tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land Lot 160, of the 9th

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as extension of Glen

Valley Drive and Garrett Lake Drive as said roads and right-of-ways are shown

on the map or plat entitled "Garrett Creek Subdivision, Orchard Phase Nine,

Land Lots 160, 9th Land District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared

by Hobbs, Smith & Associates, Inc., dated January 3, 2006, said plat recorded

in Plat Book 156, pages 53 and 54, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior

Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty expires.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to that portion of Glen Valley Drive

and that portion of Garrett Lake Drive located in Orchard Phase Nine, Garrett

Creek
