Background

The City installed the 800 MHz Radio Communication System in July 1993 for

which we contract each year with the Radio System manufacturer, Motorola, to

maintain the highly technical transmission system components.

Analysis

The Annual Transmission System Service Agreement is adjusted each year for any

deletions or additions of transmission system components. This year's

agreement includes the new McKee Rd Tower Site that came on line within the

last 16 months.

Financial Considerations

The City?s expense for this Annual Transmission System Service Agreement is

$183,620.60 that is expended through the Traffic Engineering budget.

Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement

This is an annual expense for the operation of the 800 MHz Radio Communication

System. Harris County maintains the Roosevelt State Park transmission site

that is included in this annual service agreement for which they will reimburse

the City in the estimated amount of $24,033.28.

This agreement requires Council approval.
