Recommendation
Approval is requested to submit a grant application and if awarded, accept \n \n funds up to $600,00 from the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency and \n \n Prevention for the operation of a Muscogee County Family Drug Court and amend \n \n the Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount of the grant award. The grant period \n \n is from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2019.

Background
Funds have been appropriated to the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency and

Prevention for the purpose of providing grants for the implementation of Family

Drug Courts to provide treatment services to families who are subject to a

dependency removal order due to parental substance abuse issues.
Analysis
Muscogee County Juvenile Court is requesting funds to implement a Family Drug

Court in Muscogee County to provide treatment services to families who have

dependency proceedings in the Juvenile Court of Muscogee County due to parental

substance abuse.
Financial Considerations
25% matching funds are required, however, Muscogee County Juvenile Court has

identified in-kind matches to allocate for matching funds

The Columbus Consolidated Government is eligible to apply for funds up to
